was born in the city of Rhodes in 5595 (1835). Wrote the books Shenot Yamim, Kevod Yaakov and Ben Yamin. In 5738 (1878) was appointed Cheif Sephardic Rabbi of Hevron. He was thoroughly familiar with the early and late arbiters of Jewish Law and pubklished in the anthology Torah MiZion (in the year 5647). His responsa were written in the books Yismah Lev, Yissa Ish and others. On the twenty-eighth of Heshvan 5662 (1901) he died in Hevron in the "Reishit Hochma" plot. |
