From: IsraelP To: @PIKHOLZ.PML Subject: Gen #43 - also change of address! Reply-to: IsraelP@pikholz.org Date: Thu, 23 Oct 2003 00:56:40 +0200 Hi, folks. This should be fairly short, since the specific reason I am writing is to advise you of my change of email addresses - a concession to the junk mail that has been crushing my inbox. The beginning of Israel@pikholz.org has been replaced by IsraelP and the beginning of zach4v6@actcom.co.il has been replaced by isai8v10 . Use whichever of the new addresses that you wish. I receive them together anyway. (I'll be offline from Thursday morning until late Sunday, so if you write and don't get a prompt answer, don't be concerned.) So while I am here, let me mention a few more items briefly. I just erealized a couple of weeks ago that we have a reference to a Hamburg passenger (NY bound) in 1891. The hamburg database has him born about 1872 with a birthplace Nemirow. My realization is that this is almost certainly a brother of Nellie Rochester of the KCMO family. Problem is, we have no record of him other than that Hamburg reference, so have no idea what happened to him. For a survey of the roots of the STEVE family, with a possible solution, see http://www.pikholz.org/Volunteer/Puzzles/Steve.html This is based on a collection of facts and documents we have had for some time, but I have only put them all together and tried to make sense of them. I have finally started getting the Weiss branch of the IF2 family in some kind of order. There is still much to be done, starting with getting some of the Weiss descendants to tell us basic information. I mentioned awhile ago that we have some new indexed records, particularly from Rozdol. Nearly a dozen records have been ordered by family members related to the subjects of those records. There are another half dozen that I would like to order. Brief enough? More as it happens. Israel P.
