According to the landowner records
in Lwow, this house was owned in 1830 by "Mortko" Pikholz, who with Berl
Kaczka also owned something called parcel number 77 (53 square meters).
This Mortko is someone we know as the head of the family called ELIEZER
and known to be almost certainly the ancestor of the KOPEL and MATI families
(and others). We don't know how DORA and ORENSTEIN fit with this
same family, but there seems to be a connection with these other familues
since they are all having children in the same house at the same time.
There is a definite connection between Mortko and (Itzig) Josef (head of the ROSA family, but we don't know if Josef is Mortko's father or brother. Selig is definitely connected here too. I would have thought he was a son of Josef, but may be a son of Mortko. In any case, there is another connection, because Selig's wife is a Kaczka. |
